Chile crecerá 6% en 2011 y liderará expansión de América Latina

Las economías latinoamericanas liderarán con Asia la recuperación económica mundial en 2010, creciendo un 5,2%, anticipó la Cepal.

La reactivación, que reducirá a un 7,8% el desempleo, será liderada por Brasil (7,6%), Uruguay (7,0%), Paraguay (7,0%), Argentina (6,8%) y Perú (6,7%).

Venezuela y Haití, en cambio, enfrentarán este año contracciones de un 3,0% y un 8,5%, respectivamente, alertó la Comisión Económica para América Latina y el Caribe.

En diciembre de 2009, la proyección de crecimiento para Latinoamérica en 2010 fue de 4,1%, mientras que para Chile retrocedió de 4,5% a 4,3% en la nueva estimación.

Para el año 2011, pese a la crisis europea, América Latina crecerá a una tasa de un 3,9%, con el liderazgo de Chile (6,0%), además de Argentina, Brasil y Perú a una tasa de un 4,5%.

No obstante, el crecimiento no será homogéneo para todos los sectores económicos, sostuvo la secretaria ejecutiva de Cepal, Alicia Bárcena.

"La incierta recuperacion de Europa se va a traducir en el comercio internacional", dijo. De hecho, las exportaciones regionales cayeron casi US$200.000 millones en 2009.

El crecimiento pronosticado para 2010 y 2011 permitirá sin embargo a América Latina mejorar en un 3,7% un y 2,6% el ingreso por habitante, respectivamente, lo que reducirá la pobreza.
